About Emica pumps
Who is better suited to help you with pumps than those who have been doing this for over 120 years?
Our roots
On December 28, 1899, "El Material Industrial, Compañía Anónima", Emica, was founded in Bilbao, and the company's activities were initially focused on the trade of centrifugal pumps, ventilation equipment, and machinery in general. Later, the company began producing centrifugal pumps and fans based on internationally recognized German technology and registered its own patents.
"Who could have imagined that the company founded more than 120 years ago in Bilbao would today be present in 40 countries?"
Own resources
Emica Bombas has modern facilities in its production plants and a test bench designed to meet the highest technical requirements. The company also has its own and contracted maintenance workshops.
"Times change, new generations take over, the world moves faster and faster... Yet many of our pumps have been in operation for decades as silent witnesses to the passage of time"
Where to find us
Emica's headquarters are located in Abanto-Zierbena in Northern Spain, near Bilbao, where the company's main production facility, R&D department, and a modern test bench for testing and trials are located.
The company also has other production facilities in Northern Spain.

The most important pump types from Emica
Emica covers a wide range of applications and fluids through various pump designs:
- Horizontal centrifugal pumps: This includes standard models and process pumps (e.g., the ISPK and CPK series) that meet international standards (such as ISO 5199 and ISO 2858).
- They are available with various impeller types, such as closed impellers for clean liquids or channel/open impellers for liquids containing solid particles.
- Vertical centrifugal pumps: These include in-line pumps, deep well pumps, and high-flow models (e.g., the B/BF series).
- Split case pumps (RDL series): Often used for high flow rates and water supply.
- Multistage/high-pressure pumps: Specialized pumps for applications requiring high pressure (up to 63 bar), such as boiler feed or high-pressure systems.
- Specialty pumps: They also offer pumps for chemicals (acid pumps KCL) and wastewater pumps (KWK series).
Materials and construction features
- Material combinations. According to customer specifications: cast iron, carbon steel, bronze, stainless steel, or duplex and super duplex steel, as well as other special materials.
- Flanges and connections: in various positions and according to the applicable standard.
- Sealing: Various types of gaskets and seals, seal-less solutions (e.g., magnetic drive pumps)
- Validation: Test bench (according to ISO 9906 or ANSI/HI 14.6 standards)
- Baseplates: Production of standardized baseplates or baseplates adapted to the user's facility.
- Drive systems: Various types of flexible couplings, pulleys and belt drives, reduction gears, etc.
- Motors: Electric motors from various manufacturers, adapted to the customer's specific needs or according to standards from different countries. Diesel engines.
- Accessories: Fittings, sealing fittings, junction boxes…
- Painting: C2 to C5, according to ISO 12944. Possibility of adaptation to customer-specific painting systems.
- Coating: Possibility of applying rubber coating, resin with ceramic filler, or modern urethanes and polyurethanes.
- Treatment of shafts and bushings: Shafts and bushings can be applied with wear-resistant hardening coatings, such as chrome plating or Stellite.
Cost-effective and accurate level and field measurement
Our measurement range extends beyond pipeline pressure and also includes level measurement in tanks as well as specialized field test kits. The PAL level gauge is a cost-effective alternative for measuring liquid levels in tanks or standpipes, while our specialized test gauges ensure safety and compliance with current requirements during commissioning.

Advantages and features
Emica pumps are constructed from robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, making them suitable for pumping a variety of different liquids, including hot water, chemicals, and high-flow water. Many models feature a “back pull-out” design, which simplifies maintenance by allowing the motor to be removed without dismantling the pipe connections.
