Linear Isolation and Stop Valves
Designed to interrupt flow in a system using a mechanically controlled closing element. Linear stop valves are characterized by the spindle moving downward to close the valve and upward to open it.
Gate Valves (on/off control)
Gate valves should be used either fully open or fully closed. They are often used when minimal pressure drop and full flow are required. These valves withstand high pressure and are operated by turning the spindle; clockwise to close and counterclockwise to open. When the spindle is turned, the gate moves up or down on the threaded portion of the spindle.
Seat Valves
A seat valve consists of a rotating spindle, a plug and a seat. When you turn the spindle clockwise, the plug is pushed down into the seat, isolating everything that would otherwise pass through. If you rotate the spindle the other way, the plug is retracted and flow is released again.
