Our origins
The twenty-eighth of December 1899 was founded in Bilbao "El Material Industrial, Compañía Anónima", Emica, initially dedicated to the trade of centrifugal pumps, ventilation and machinery in general. Subsequently, the company starts the manufacture of centrifugal pumps and ventilators, based on internationally reputed German technology and registering its own patents. "Who could have imagined that the company that was born more than 120 years ago in Bilbao was going to be present today in 40 countries?"
Own resources
Emica Bombas has modern facilities in its manufacturing centers and a test bench designed to fulfil the highest technical demands. It also has maintenance workshops both own and agreed "Times change, other generations follow us, the world turns faster and faster ... However, many of our pumps have been in service for decades as a silent witness to the passage of time"
Where to find us
Emica’s headquarters are located in Abanto-Zierbena, in northern Spain, close to Bilbao, where it is located its main productive plant, R&D and a modern test bench, used for test and trial. Also, It has other manufacturing plants in northern Spain. "Are you coming to see us?"

Emica covers a wide range of applications and liquids through various pump designs:
- Horizontal centrifugal pumps: This includes standard models and process pumps (e.g. ISPK and CPK series) that comply with international standards (such as ISO 5199 and ISO 2858).
- They are available with different impeller types, such as closed impellers for clean liquids or channel/open impellers for liquids with solids.
- Vertical centrifugal pumps: These include in-line pumps, deep well pumps and high flow models (e.g. B/BF series).
- Split Case Pumps (RDL Series): Often used for high flow rates and water supply.
- Multistage / High-pressure pumps: Specialized pumps for applications requiring high pressure (up to 63 bar), such as boiler feed or high-pressure applications.
- Special pumps: They also offer pumps for chemicals ( acid pumps KCL ) and wastewater pumps (KWK series).

- Material combinations. According to customer specifications: cast iron, carbon steel, bronze, stainless steels or duplex, super-duplex steels and other special materials.
- Flanges and connections: in different positions, and according to the required standard.
- Sealing: Different types of gland packing and seals, seal-less solutions (i.e. magnetic driven pumps)
- Validation: Test bench, (ISO 9906 or ANSI/HI 14.6 standards)
- Base plates: Construction of standardized base plates or adapted to the user’s facility.
- Driving systems: Different types of flexible couplings, pulleys and belts transmissions, reducers, etc.
- Motors: Electric motors from different manufacturers, according to customer’s particular needs or to standards from different countries. Diesel engines.
- Peripherals: Fittings, sealing fittings, electrical boxes…
- Painting: C2 to C5, according to ISO 12944. Ability to adapt to specific customer painting systems.
- Coatings: Possibility applying rubber coating, resins with a ceramic load or state-of-the-art urethanes and polyurethanes.
- Shafts and sleeves treatments: Anti-wear hardening coatings such as chrome-plating or Stellite could be applied to shafts and bushings.

Fordeler og Egenskaper
Emica pumps are constructed with robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel and bronze , making them suitable for pumping a variety of liquids, including hot water, chemicals and high flow water. Many models feature a «back pull- out » design , which simplifies maintenance by allowing the motor to be pulled out without having to dismantle the pipe connections.
