Norditec offers a complete program of gate valves and seat valves. Linear isolating (stop) valves.
Isolation or shut-off valves
Designed to interrupt the current in a system by means of a mechanically controlled closing element. Linear isolating valves are characterized by the movement of the stem which controls the closing element downwards to close the valve and upwards to open it. (Gate valves).
Sluice valves - must be used either completely open or closed. (Off/On valve)
Sluice valves - often used when minimum pressure loss and full flow are required. Handles high pressure. Operating a gate valve is done by turning the spindle either clockwise to close the valve) or counterclockwise to close valves. When the valve spindle is operated, the sluice gate moves up or down on the threaded part of the spindle.
Seat valves - A poppet valve consists of a rotating spindle, a plug and a so-called seat. When you turn the spindle clockwise, the plug is pushed down into the seat, isolating anything that will come through. If you rotate the spindle the other way, the plug retracts and it flows freely through again.
