SIDE CHANNEL PUMP

•The side channel pump is a cross between a displacement pump and a centrifugal pump. The pump was initially intended for pumping medium consisting of a mix of liquid, air and gas, but today it is crucial in a number of different applications

•The pumps have the following properties:

- Self-sucking

- Can transport gas without disturbing the liquid flow and without the bearing being destroyed by dry running

-Has the highest energy consumption at maximum pressure and minimum capacity

-Their steep pump curve (Q/H) makes them suitable for pressure-based system regulation

– Very low NPSH value

-The narrow columns/channels (Side channels) do not allow abrasive particles in the medium

Execution:
horizontal radial split casing multi-stage between bearing pumps with closed impeller.
Applications:
handling at high pressure of clean, cold and hot, corrosive, superheated, slightly dirty or abrasive liquids in applications such as boiler feed water, aqueducts, fire protection, reverse osmosis, desalination, steel, descaling, snow guns, washing plants and in various industrial applications.
